Ultimate Super Minecraft TP is a Texture Pack that completely redesigns 13 vanillia NSMBWii levels into the Minecraft world along with many vanilla assets and models. Although a lot more content and levels were planned I decided to release a "80% build" of the final product.

FAQ​

Q: Is this mod just a simple retexture of Vanilla levels or are their actual new levels featured?

​

A: Yes and no. The "simple retexture" is less than simple as many levels have been heavily modified through enemies and even tilesets completely throughout the process. Of course 1-1 in this mod will be very similar to 1-1 in Vanilla but the differences are noticeable.

 

There is a hidden level not from Vanilla but that's on the player to discovering it.

Q: Why can't I unlock 9-1 even though the diamond menu says I have all the diamonds in World 1?

 

A. You're missing the HIDDEN diamonds that are found within two hidden levels in World 1. Maybe see what's behind 1-3's castle or give Peach's Castle an "upwards" look.

 

World 1 is also the only world you have to collect all the diamonds in for unlocking 9-1 as that's the only level in World 9.

Q: How come the music is all remixed instead of including the original C418 music?

​

A: The original intent was to use original C418 music along with Pigstep. However it only hit me recently that C418's original music is copyrighted so with respect to him, I choose to use remixed versions of his music by talented remixers. Of course credit to the original composition goes to C418 as his music has brought peace and nostalgia for generations to come. The remixed music does fit in nicely though.

Q: Why is this mod not based on the Newer Engine like many other NSMBWii mods of this generation?

​

A: For the sake that this mod just modifies Vanilla NSMBWii levels, I didn't think the Newer engine was needed. As much as I like the flexibility that Newer gives for world maps creation, arguably if you know what you're doing for Vanilla NSBMWii maps editing, you can rexture Vanilla maps to look insanely good if not better and more polished compared to Newer maps. (No disrespect to Newer maps but Vanilla maps retextures is just more fitting).

 

Also Newer breaks the og staff credits which is required for this mod.

Q: Why does this just seem like a lazy retexture?

​

A: I wouldn't use the term "lazy" as many parts were very time consuming. It wasn't just a simple switching grassland textures to look like grass blocks. Simple editing like the sound effects were very time consuming (especially given that there's zero tutorials online). Trust me, it will be a nostalgic experience.

Q: Why was the mod changed from "Ultimate Super Minecraft" to "Ultimate Super Minecraft TP"?

​

A: After some thinking I didn't see it fitting to not include "Texture Pack" within the logo. Reason being is because I feel viewers/modders would think this is a full new mod with new levels when in reality, its an overhaul/re-texture of vanilla levels. Also since Minecraft features a texture pack option to completely re-texture the game to your hearts consent so the name change is still fitting.

Q: How come Luigi and the Toads don't have custom MC models?

​

They won't feature custom models cause model creation is difficult and time consuming. Unlike the unique models created just for USLWii, the models featured within this hack were already created beforehand and made public by their creators. The Mario-Steve model for instance was created by StupidMarioBrosFan1 for a YouTube video. Same goes for the unique power up armor textures done by RiazorMC that are also featured. I feel it would be too much to ask to have either of them create completely new models and animations just for 3 playable characters that might not even be used at all during a regular gameplay.

On the bright side I did do some custom model importing on my end (very minor but it's something)

Q: Why was this mod cancelled and then un-cancelled multiple times up until today?

​

Motivation. The idea of this texture pack mod mainly took shape during covid as I had a lot of time on my hands to experiment. This experiment then made its way into something I thought I could actually release with enough polish. Although I did receive some harsh (non-construtive) criticism that really ruined my motivation for making this mod.

When that happened I cancelled it. All the files remained unchanged throughout 2020 to 2021 and just sat on my sd card. I got annoyed by just having all that unfinished work just sitting their and thought of the idea of just releasing what was done and calling it a day (back in May 2021). That of course didn't happen and the unchanged files remained just sitting there for a bit longer. It wasn't until late May of 2022 after college that I finally decided to say "screw it" and actually develop this mod again. With a lot of time on my hands, I aimed to release 80% build of what the final version could have offered.
